EWI installer

The Greenland Energy requires in-house renderers with plenty of knowledge and skills within the field of external wall insulation. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, well presented, and efficient and have a high standard of workmanship.

We are looking to employ renderers to carry out various rendering/EWI jobs. Pay will be negotiable dependent on relevant experience. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone to get involved with an established professional business.

  • Must have NVQ level 3
  • Fully aware of health and safety on constructions site

Salary to be added - £30,000 to £32,000 depending on experience

Job location: Projects based in all England and wales, travel allowance is provided

Business Development Manager

Purpose Statement

Greenland Energy is a fast-growing business that has established a leading position in financing and delivering energy efficiency and retrofit programmers. Our clients include major energy supply companies, local authorities, housing associations and industry partners such as installers of low-carbon heating, insulation and renewable energy technologies.

To meet our strategic objectives, Greenland Energy must maintain its position as a leading Managing Agent and deliverer of energy efficiency and retrofit programmes. Key to the success will be partnering with local authorities in strategic regions and the development of a first-class network of installers who can deliver against several large-scale retrofit funded programmes such as:

  • Energy Company Obligation (ECO): National delivery of retrofit energy efficiency measures in partnership with an extensive number of obligated energy suppliers, installers and other agencies.
  • WHF (Warm Homes Fund): Greenland Energy is managing three WHF projects providing first-time central heating systems to around 2,000 households over the next two years.
  • LAD (Local Authority Delivery) and HUG (Home Upgrade Grant): Working with around 20 Local authorities, Greenland Energy is supporting households with the installation of arrange of retrofit energy efficiency, low carbon heating and renewable energy generation measures.

The above are highly complex and regulated activities requiring significant technical and commercial skills.

The role of a Business Development Manager has arisen to further develop our ambitious growth to offer PAS services and surveying in general. It will involve a varied and challenging workload, supporting the Retrofit Director and Retrofit Manager to develop partnerships with Local Authorities and the energy efficiency supply chain and general business development efforts within a constantly evolving and dynamic environment. You will join a successful, high-performing team and gain invaluable insight into the low-carbon and energy-efficiency sectors.

The role would suite individual with previous account or delivery management experience within the energy, surveying or construction sectors. You will need to demonstrate relevant commercial, contract and partner management skills. The ideal candidate is expected to identify and lead on business development opportunities, and also work as part of a team on wider opportunities across the whole company. Working closely with a range of business units, the Business Development Manager role will assist in defining the direction for business development and building plans to incorporate the associated business objectives.

By delivering clear objectives and strategies, the post holder will help maintain Greenland Energy competitive advantage within the Retrofit market place, and PAS2035 in particular.

Responsibilities

  • Business development: responsible for signing up Local Authorities and retrofit contractors to our services.
  • Account management: focal point of contact for our network of contractors.
  • Partner engagement: conducting regular meetings with our partners and providing relevant feedback to senior management.
  • Contract management: support our Contract Management team with planning, training, tracking progress against deliverables and monitoring KPIs.
  • Business partnering: work with internal stakeholders to develop business cases for new opportunities.
  • Regulations and policy interpretation: keep abreast of all relevant Government and Regulator guidance, policy proposals and legislation.
  • Stakeholder management: work with wider business development team to support stakeholder engagement, which may include local authorities, housing providers, regulatory bodies and charities.
  • Other: any other reasonable duties commensurate with the post, which may be allocated from time to time.

Working Relationships

The role will involve a close working relationship with the Greenland Energy senior leadership team, with other business and partnership development managers, and with a large number of supply chain providers and Local Authorities.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential Knowledge and Qualifications

  • Understanding of the retrofit industry and the processes involved in the installation of insulation, heating and renewable into domestic properties
  • RdSAP, PAS2030 and PAS2035 knowledge
  • Knowledge of the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) and other Government- funded retrofit and energy efficiency programmes
  • Experience in working with Local Authorities and an understanding of public procurement rules
  • Proven experience in managing internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent account management and sales experience

The Office Manager

  • Ensures the effective running of all administrative systems, customer service and compliance to support the effective delivery of the business
  • Works with colleagues to produce detailed documentation relating to renewable energy and energy saving measures and installations to meet legal criteria of governing bodies and ensure that all contractual obligations have been satisfied
  • Is the first point of contact and liaison for clients, answering general queries, providing customer information packs, timelines and relevant information to ensure customer confidence to make clear decisions about their installation
  • Liaises with sector companies and partners to ensure clear communication of requests and information sharing
  • Ensures smooth running of all aspects of the office, providing a welcoming environment for clients and staff
  • Any other reasonable duties as required to support business operations

Retrofit Assessor

We Are Looking For An Experienced Retrofit Assessor To Support Our Operation.

The role will include undertaking a Retrofit Assessment for IWI RIR ESH and any other Retrofit measures as required, drawing up accurate floor plans of the property and submitting in-line with retrofit compliance.

Responsibilities Of The Role:

Daily completion of Retrofit Assessments, our in-house team will book your appointments, you will need to flexible as we do our very best to work with our customers.

Experience:

  • Must be a Qualified Retrofit Assessor
  • Technically Minded – Attention to detail
  • Used to working to deadlines in fast paced environment
  • Experienced with dealing directly with customers
  • Must have a knowledge about ECO 4

Qualifications:

  • Retrofit: 1 year (required)
  • Surveying: 1 year (preferred)
